The magazine Sinergias - educational dialogues for social transformation, in collaboration with the European networks ANGEL - Academic Network on Global Education & Learning and GENE - Global Education Network Europe, is promoting the round table ‘Democracy(ies) and Development Education - insights from European contexts’, on 10 October, from 5.30pm to 7pm, at the Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto.
Democracy today faces unprecedented challenges. The growing waves of authoritarianism, extremism and radical conservatism felt in several European countries threaten the Common Good and are profoundly transforming the way democracy is understood and practised.
What is the role of Development Education in this context?
This will be an opportunity to analyse, discuss and problematise this scenario from the point of view of different European countries.
Language: English
Venue: meeting room 2, floor 2
FLUP - Faculty of Letters of the University of Porto
Registration required: until 3rd October.
Free event limited to 35 people.
