WSWA integrates the interdisciplinary sub-project “Internal and external politics of the African States”, the principal objectives of which are:

- Publication and archiving the official documents of the parties involved.

- Increasing the visibility of a war that is being waged less than 3,000 km away from Portuguese territory, one that has been obscured.

- Contributing to comprehension of the conflict, one that has continued for more than 45 years, providing supporting statistics and cartography.
