CEAUP's Board of Directors and Scientific Committee regret to inform all researchers and members of the death of Professor Adriano Vasco Rodrigues, a CEAUP researcher and member of the Scientific Council of Africana Studia.
Professor Vasco Rodrigues was a key researcher in starting scientific archaeology in Angola, where he became an important member of the Institute of Scientific Research. In Portugal, he was also one of the promoters of the new archaeological methodology and of Africa's cultural heritage.
CEAUP therefore pays tribute to one of its most illustrious members and sends its sincere condolences to his family.
